BASWA was established in 2003 by business owners in the South Wedge neighborhood of Rochester, New York.
Our service area encompasses South Avenue and the northern sections of Mount Hope and South Clinton Avenue.
BASWA creates a community of fellow business owners, where our goal is to to your business flourish in our growing neighborhood.

Nestled between downtown Rochester directly to the north, the lovely Highland Park to the south, and other vibrant southeast neighborhoods to the east, such as Park Avenue and NOTA.
The South Wedge is a destination for many thanks in part to the many “Best of Rochester” and “Rochester’s Choice” businesses located in our commercial district.
An eclectic place to live and work, offering amenities that appeal to singles, young adults, college students, empty nesters, and families.
Very low commercial vacancy rate, and new construction is under way! This multi-million dollar project will add 33 residential units and 4 new commercial units to South Avenue.
