Coffee fanatics are easily disappointed. A few years back, two buddies dreamed of discovering a cosmically satisfying roast that would produce the same unforgettable taste every time it was brewed. No such cup could be found where they lived. So they launched a coffee company in St. Louis, Mo., with one simple, crazy goal: to make the best cup of coffee ever to cross their lips. And share this experience of a sumptuously arousing roast with their community.
In true DIY style, they hand-built and fired up a fancy computer-aided, fluid-bed roaster. They sourced their beans and began to program it with coffee “profiles” to toast to precise perfection. Every single time.
